About The Authors
James J. Rouches, Founder and Director
Jim Rouches spent 20 years in and out of “programs” trying to get control of his addictions. Using his experience and the help of several researchers, Jim created Home Healing to give abusers the tools to avoid becoming addicts, and addicts the tools to get control of their lives.
Jim teaches in the Salvation Army Viper program and is on staff at Harvest House a regional transitional living facility for drug and alcohol patients.
Jim is the author of Home Healing and the book “The Next Right Thing”.
Dr. David Benedict, Ph.D. Program Consultant, Staff Psychologist
Dr. Benedict is NCCA board certified in substance abuse therapy.
Dr. Dave has experience in Dual Diagnosis, addictions and mental health, and has been affiliated with the Florida D.O.C. as a clinical counselor.
For ten years Dr. Dave facilitated group encounters at Manatee Glens, Bradenton, Florida teaching 12 step programs
Dr. Dave is the Christian Clinical Counselor for the Veteran’s Administration in-patient recovery program at Harvest House, and continues counseling in his private practice.
Erin E. Minor, Staff Executive

Erin Minor is certified through the Florida Certification Board as a Certified Addictions Professional and a Certified Mental Health Professional. She is an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Erin is the Executive Director of Harvest House in Sarasota, FL and for the last 8 years has supervised the in-patient treatment of over a thousand patients. She also implemented and administers a Grant & Per Diem Program for Veterans, a Post Release Program through Department of Corrections, and a Jail Diversion Program at Harvest House.
